For its regional programme in Dubai, YUM Brands brought together leadership and partner teams representing both brands for a full-day corporate gathering designed to align strategy, recognise performance and celebrate collaboration. Hosted at W Dubai – The Palm, the programme was structured as a dual-format experience. The day began with an awards-led supply chain conference requiring a focused, technically robust environment for presentations and discussions. This transitioned into a Gatsby-themed gala evening, designed to shift the tone from strategic engagement to celebration and entertainment. The complexity lay not only in delivering two distinct event formats, but in executing both within a single day’s schedule using one coordinated production team and a unified operational framework. Pangea Events was appointed to design, manage and deliver the complete experience, overseeing creative direction, technical production and on-site execution. The scope required careful spatial planning, timed transitions and precise coordination to ensure the conference and gala retained their individual identities while operating as one seamless programme. For the YUM Supply Chain Summit, Pangea managed the complete conference environment at W Dubai – The Palm, including stage design, LED screen integration, lighting, sound systems and branded elements. The setup was engineered to support clear communication, awards presentations and executive visibility, ensuring stability and clarity throughout the programme.

2. Spatial Reconfiguration and Event Transition

As the conference concluded, the same production team executed a full spatial transformation within the venue. The space was reconfigured to support a Gatsby-themed gala dinner, with new stage elements, table layouts, props, centrepieces and themed décor installed within a tightly managed timeframe. This transition required detailed walk-through planning, coordinated crew movement and precise timing across departments.

3. Gala Night Design, AV and Entertainment

The evening gala featured a bold, immersive environment supported by lighting design, LED entrance features and branded visual elements. Entertainment played a central role in shaping the evening experience and reinforcing the Gatsby-inspired theme. Pangea Events curated and managed a live jazz musician and singer ensemble, whose performance set the tone for the night with period-appropriate sound and rhythm, creating an atmosphere that felt both elegant and immersive. An illusionist was also introduced as part of the programme, moving fluidly among guests and delivering close-up interactions that surprised and engaged the audience throughout the evening. Rather than functioning as a staged performance alone, the act became an interactive experience that added moments of intrigue and conversation across the room. The evening was anchored by a professional emcee and host who maintained programme flow, guided transitions between segments, and ensured sustained audience engagement. Through controlled pacing, light interaction and clear direction, the host supported both the entertainment and the broader event structure, keeping the energy consistent while respecting the corporate nature of the gathering. Together, these elements contributed to a balanced gala environment where entertainment enhanced the experience without overwhelming the programme, allowing guests to remain engaged, comfortable and connected throughout the night.

4. Guest Styling & Thematic Details

To reinforce the Gatsby-era atmosphere and encourage guest participation in the theme, Pangea Events introduced curated styling elements as part of the gala experience. Male guests were provided with classic black hats, placed thoughtfully for easy access, adding a subtle yet effective nod to the era’s signature style. Female guests received retro-inspired eye masks and feather fans, accessories that complemented the gowns and evening dresses worn throughout the night. These elements elevated the visual character of the gala, enhanced guest engagement, and helped transport attendees into a refined, vintage-inspired setting without overpowering the corporate nature of the event.

4. Project Management and On-Site Coordination

All elements were delivered under one production structure, with Pangea’s team overseeing fabrication, AV, décor, entertainment and logistics. Continuous on-site coordination ensured that both the conference and gala operated as a single, cohesive experience, despite their contrasting formats and atmospheres.
